    Some farms in Brittany had to count their losses in thousands. “It is a massive psychological shock for farmers,” the representative of the farmers’ union FNSEA, Thierry Houel, told the local public radio ICI Bretagne.

    I’m sorry but if you’ve got thousands of chickens locked up in sheds and presumably collect their eggs and/or kill them for meat I highly doubt it’s a “psychological shock” for you, otherwise you wouldn’t have been doing that in the first place.
