Either this is a Heyan-period cat, or eyespots mimetic.
I’m scared this might be fake. The way the color fades out is not natural, its a very smooth fad, while if it was differently colored fur the fade changes depending on the grain of the fur.
I suppose it could. They did have a couple of other pics from different angles that I didn’t use, but who knows.
It could’ve been taken while the cat was moving causing the demonising algorithm to smooth out the details.
