I think some folks interpret thoughts like “I wonder what its like to be insert gender here” as dysphoria. I don’t think I would consider that myself but I can see why someone might.

For a lot of folks it’s a genuinely rhetorical question with no thought or substance beyond the initial thought. But for some it’s the beginning of an awakening, you just have to remember they did not live your life and you did not live thiers. Little details you would have never thought to consider or are unconcerned with may be a game changer for someone else.

Avoiding the question is not answering it so fine I’ll rephrase it “why would you want to die for a country that actively wants you dead?”
