It was for me as well. Proton has been mostly there for years. I’m about to hit year 4 of gaming only on Linux.
I think the last hold out is kernel-level anti-cheat. Hoping it just goes away and consumers stop supporting it. One can dream.

I’m not going to dwell on how annoying it is that it took people THIS LONG to get off the Windows train. I’m just happy to see the world changing for the better.
Welcome to civilization, new Linux users!

The “Biden Autopen Scandal” is something you’ll hear about at least weekly in conservative media. Especially when Epstein comes up again.
It’s always projection.

I love a wet bone

I enjoy VI, but I know it is divisive.
My comment holds more generally true for anything mouse-centric.

As someone still using Steam Controller 1 on the daily, I am stoked to see that they have not abandoned the trackpads. Civ from the couch ftw.

Even then, Trump fired the jobs numbers guy. I guess we just deal.

I’m seeing a trend lately… Hard to put my finger on it. I wonder if we’ll get some numbers from the US government.

Well that’s a great sign.

Swastikas are expensive.

Masturbation! If you’ve never played, give it a shot. It can be a slow starter, but that ending…

This is true of the Christian God – but also trivially true of any other conceptual deity which may exist. There have been thousands of God-figures discussed by mankind in its history, and if a god exists, none of those discussed may be the real God. (This strikes me as a kind of inverted version of the famous “Pascal’s Wager”)

Is “the greatest economy” in the room with you right now?

GTA Online alone takes in billions of dollars for this company. Its employees should be reaping the rewards of that success.
Something tells me they aren’t.
A lot of companies (most?), especially in the US, need to return to the social contract.

Communist Muslim Jihadist
Antisemite Jihadist Communist
Etc etc. What started with the Neocons years ago consistently saying “Democrat Party” as a kind of internal slur has devolved into a constant word salad of GOP buzzwords designed to incite fear.
But that shit doesn’t work forever. Eventually even supporters become blind to it, and it all starts to lose meaning. That’s when everyone starts soundng like nothing but parrots.

I’ve not looked back in 3+ years.
But I really wonder how many of these same articles we need before more significant numbers of people actually ditch Windows. It saves you money. It saves you time. Many Windows games run better on Linux. And yet, the market share increase is a steady trickle rather than a deluge.

the full power of Windows PC gaming
It’s even better without the Windows.
Something tells me that part of Microsoft’s public focus here is distraction from the fact that they are losing grip on two separate markets.

When companies stop employing people en masse to replace them with robots or AI or similar, who will be left with the money to buy their products?
On the one hand, I don’t give a fuck about anti-cheat, because games using the kernel-level version tend to be giant multiplayer cesspools of little value.
On the other hand, I want Windows to lose the war.
I hope Valve can find the balance between these two extremes.
