I’m from Korea, and we impeached our president last year, mostly because he declared martial law, but he was also a terrible president, and no one really liked him being there, even his own party.

Why can’t the U.S do the same, if Donald Trump is so bad? Why are some Americans even supporting him?

    You need to have enough reps in the US House of Representatives that will vote for impeachment; right now it’s 219 Republicans to 213 Democrats. Just about all of the Republicans are terrified of doing something to anger Trump, and so they wouldn’t vote for impeachment, which I believe requires a majority to pass. With the Republicans in the majority and in control of the chamber, their leader, the speaker of the house, IIRC can make sure that the motion to impeach never even comes to the floor for a vote (fellow Lemmings, please correct me if I’m wrong on any of the details here), which they wouldn’t win even if it did.

    Ok, but say you’re able to Impeach the Giant Orange Infant in the House. Then things move to the Senate where Dems are also in the minority, and you would then either need a majority of Senators (or maybe a ⅔ majority? don’t remember) to remove the President from office. The Senate is currently 53-47, with Republicans in the majority.

    So basically, there just aren’t enough Democrats to get the ball rolling, and impeachment and removal are off the table for the moment. Also, the Democratic party, as long as I have been alive, has been the party of moral cowardice and weakness.

    If things get bad enough, which I believe they very well might, this situation may change . . . like if the stock market crashes, and we’re sent into a second great depression; if inflation continues to rise; if we start another forever war by attacking Venezuela, but I digress . . .

    And also, I think I’m safe in saying that Americans are some of the dumbest people on Planet Earth. Despite how bad Kamala Harris was, I really didn’t think people would vote for Trump a second time, after what we went through the first time, but here we are. America=Dumb.
