As stupid as it may sound, I admit there are things about lemmy that I don’t understand. One of those things is the separation to .ml, .world and so on. I just came across a post on lemmy.world but it reads I haven’t logged in. So: do I have to create a new account in order to subscribe/comment on .world or can I use my current account from .ml?

Thanks. This makes things… sort of more clear but not by much. Bc I’ve joined an atheism community which apparently is on .world and I can comment there just fine. But at the same that post I mentioned opens at .world and says I must login. (scratching my head where it doesn’t itch 😂) Still, thanks to all three of you for the answers, I wasn’t sure if my question will be answered or deleted.
I’m not sure where you’re clicking, but there should always be a way to view it in .ml instead. The little rainbow link is the only button that should take you outside of .ml, which is not what you want, heh.
For instance, this post in .world for me is:
https://lemmy.world/post/35134812
But its ‘home’ on lemmy.ml is:
https://lemmy.ml/post/35348428
