    It is indeed a law, just no enforceable punishment. It isn’t hard to google search before you make dumb statements.

      So it’s a recommendation. Not a law in the commonly accepted meaning of the word.

          Dude! I’m agreeing with you. :)

          Although in fairness, it wasn’t written into law until 1998. Seems pretty pointless since using the flag in any way is protected free speech. Maybe being unenforceable is meant to protect it from 1st Amendment challenge?
