  • Here’s something I do. I block specific communities, and some people for the extreme amount of rage baiting political bullshit.

My list was getting pretty long tell I started doing that.

Also I block specific websites so they don’t show up like CNN. Keywords are a good start but on Voyager I have actively just blocked (or is it muted?) people/instances/communities that are rage baiting political shit.

Always remember though, it’s a privilege to not be able to interact with politics. I do on my own terms for my own mental health. But avoiding it not good as politics is literally anything that humans do. I just refuse to let the toxic 24/7 news bullshit get to me. As I’m one of people they actively target for “existing”.

Also I blocked YouTube website because its constantly just people uploading there videos to get more views.

I tried gnome once at the start of my Linux adventures and I couldn’t figure out how to do most stuff as it seems really counter intuitive to me. I tried extensions to fix it and they just didn’t work or broke and trying to install the extensions was a problem for me too. Idk it’s just seems broken to me in a lot of ways

Then I tried another distro with basic life and it was easy and I didnt need to install anything extra because it was already all there.

Also why the fuck does gnome and Ubuntu have a app drawer take up the whole fucking screen. I’m on a computer not a tablet or phone. I just need a start menu like kde has. Its simple small and easily accessible when other apps are open

I buy the same extremely cheap food because I live in Amerikkka and food isn’t a human right here. I survive on 190 USD in food a month. So I buy what’s most calorie to price ratio that I can eat. Usually ramen pasta Roni and rice and potatoes and for a extra treat some cheese sometimes.

Been living off those items for years waiting for disability to get approved (going on 10 years as of 2026).

You know what’s wild? I’m overweight, I have a high BMI, not because I eat to much. It’s because I’m disabled and can’t afford nutrients foods and what I can afford is high in calories. If I eat less my stomach goes into a revolt because of lack of food as it’s incredibly hard for me

Anyways I don’t buy bulk. And can’t afford more then once a month of going to the store so on food stamps day I go and get everything and then stay inside tell the next month or doctor appointment,
