there’s few old scripts (mostly for mailing list archive usage) that takes mbox input and outputs html. not pretty but they could work in this case. searching is another issue though

i’d just use debian with something like wmaker/icewm/jwm/lxde

i can’t visualize at all really. but when i’m physically looking at something similar to whats in my memory but with some minor differences i can tell the difference.

i can describe it with language, but i can’t ‘see’ anything. but for example i can see a picture of a classroom and explain how it’s different from the one i used to be in.

that’s extremely cool

in my case i can’t. in fact i can’t imagine how others even do it. can you just walk through your old school inside your imagination…?

it’s very easy to make many accounts here, it really could be just one motivated troll creating many posts/votes attempting to manipulate opinions.
i still think it’s much better than other spaces on the net these days (esp reddit), but you should always keep it in mind.
also, some people from ml/grad do have a certain agenda(?)… lol
Porteus. it’s a slackware based distro made for live usage
yes, i prefer it over other distros mainly because of its low complexity. tried gentoo recently but the toolings felt too complex for me. the package repository is a bit small so you might have to compile some from source.
there’s a stable release 15.0 released in 2022 and -current rolling release that’s up to date for everything. i recommend -current for desktop/laptops.
there’s not much automated tools like other distros, but the system itself is extremely simple and well documented. many tools in the system (package manager, init, etc) are all simple shell scripts.
there’s also distros that are based on slackware like salix, could be easier as it comes with apt-get afaik
it’s more like the oldest linux distro but slackware is good

“half assed” was quite funny

same here, it somehow also fixes miracast issues with samsung tablets at work

why not firefox though?
zero. i really should change this
i just put git repos in a dir on my server and use ssh to push/pull
if you need webui theres cgit.
i can say its not very user friendly tho…

i find other songs from that album/artist and see if they’re good
is your wayland config(?) available somewhere? i also use fvwm3 and want to try wayland, tried KDE6 but it really doesn’t fit me.

i hope somebody keeps X alive but xlibre i don’t think would last long. even ignoring the weird antivax conspiracy spamming on LKML, the lead dev confused ^ in C as exponential…
xmpp. don’t matrix, it causes selfhosting-phobia for normies because its ui sucks. i had a friend try matrix with me for a while and now they’re never trying another foss messenger again unless its proved to be very good.
