My dream is chilling by the pool/lake/river doing fuck all with some friends and something nice to drink (alcohol or not).
I can already realize my dream whenever the fuck I want, and AI helps 0% achieving any part of it.

I will keep pushing for my alternative : buy some out-of-order cameras and stick them in highly visible places.
0 maintenance, 0 infrastructure, 100% of the deterring effect working cameras would have had.

Recently deleted all my GitHub repos. Going to put some up on codeberg.org !

I would rather have cheaters in my games personally x)

The Sims 4.
I mean, The Sims 3 and The Sims 2 are right there ! Both much, much better games, with the same premise but both with much better and clearer direction. Both quite different from each other and interesting in their own right…
Meanwhile The Sims 4 is a buggy mess with over 1000€ of DLC, I cannot fathom why anyone would choose it over its predecessors…
https://noai.duckduckgo.com/ is marginally better in my experience. The filtering works pretty well for images at least !

Ah yes, Proton, infamous for being the knee and ratting out activists to the authorities, pretends it has any semblance of a spine left.

It sucks, but it makes sense.

We already invented a tool for that, it’s called a library.

If I am ever forced to use LinkedIn I’ll do the same :3 and bring back a deep cut from the SCP Wiki, making them address me as “Doctor Placeholder McDoctorate”

You got to be out of your mind to be on Xitter at all.

I would bite the bullet and upgrade if I thought AI wasn’t a bubble, and the new prices were the new normal.
It’s going to roll over and die soon. Not because it’s bad ; bad technology absolutely has replaced good technology many times in the past ! Just look at streaming slowly replacing Blu-Rays.
It will fail, because it is too expensive, irremediably so.

Usually, the LLM’s response will be incomplete or partially incorrect, but it’s often good enough to get un-stuck.
Usually it will have some keywords you can look up, some bits that bring up further questions for you to answer (and for which the LLM should also not be your first choice).

And that’s why you have to check everything.

The “correct” way to use AI for coding (and anything really) is to ask for explanations / tutorials when you can’t find one online, then learn from that.
Never let it do something for you. That’s how you lose. If you’re not actively learning, you’re actively rotting, and that goes for life in general too.

Never thought I’d be rooting for Elsevier but here we are ! Not sure how I feel about it…

Our generation ! I am part of (older) GenZ myself.

Idiotic. Use codeberg.
Eh ! If the car still works, who cares ? Besides, if you can afford security cameras and a house, you probably have a garage. Use it.
