Dick Cheney. I liked the first one more.

Since we’re talking about the twin towers and provocations to start wars, I want to post this meme (even though it’s got Charlie Kirk in it)

Debian, not a bad idea but where I live I have shared wireless only, so I’d have to install the wireless drivers manually using my phone to search for advice. Not even sure how that’d go. Easier if I had ethernet.
I like the idea of fewer updates and fewer bugs.
Crush microsoft. Smear their name. Worst software in history and it keeps getting worse!
This is just fucked up and it shows that people these days don’t have a functioning disgust reflex.
I let my cat smell my coffee, green tea plus food. He doesn’t ask, I offer 🫶
I tackle my cat and pretend we’re playing rugby. He got a wee bit too excited the other day and I did get a tiny scratch. I had my hands around him and I continued to hold him as he rolled on the ground. When I withdrew my hands I did it in a slight panic, and too fast, so he grabbed me with all his paws at once lol.
And the water keeps going cold so you have to use even more hot water. The only bath I’d ever use is the one at the wellness place in town. The freezing cold one. Though if it gets too hot I think I’ll just chill water in the fridge and tip it over my head. I haven’t tried that yet but it’ll be a lot cooler than the water in the pipes on a hot day!
More fat than protein.

Maybe they’ll do that but here in New Zealand I’m not going to be streaming on my shared 100mbps connection. There are 10 people sharing the line it’s not going to work for cloud gaming.

See you in 2028 when the economy recovers and we all have jobs again.

What did the pandemic do to your brain and your sense of time 😆

I’ve been using Linux since high school (I dropped out in December 2006)
I recently got an old PC from a friend, it’s a 2018 PC and the hard drive is NVME. It’s at least 4 times faster than my “adata” brand SSD from my 2018 PC. I barely tinkered with Windows and gaming capabilities and pretty much installed Ubuntu within 24 hours of trying this PC. It can’t run Windows 11 and there’s no point in using Windows 10.

If you have $12 to spend then I can recommend a tutorial series for you which you can buy on itch io. It’s in ‘c’ but you can easily transfer the skills to Python and everything is much nicer. I only recommend c for foundation skills. I respect the old skool methods - it may open your mind.
If you’re still young then I want to convince you that it’s worth your time. You don’t need to be very smart to make simple programs but you can save yourself time and frustration by avoiding stupid mistakes. I know a guy in Australia who can motivate you on this, I sometimes voice call him on Signal.
I no longer prioritise software any more because I’m focused on simply surviving. I’m too old to care any more lol. That said, I do have plans to film interviews with people who work in this field. I’m thinking about doing code review videos and discussions about how to be a good programmer, but not from a heavily commercial pperspective (I hate those endlessly positive videos on youtube who want you to think that anyone can succeed in the industry and become wealthy). I don’t know how viable the industry is any more and I just want to make hobby videos and encourage people to find a path that works for them. I think gamedev is one of the best paths for learning software, unless you want to make web apps instead.
Brilliant. We all know that one person, or friend, who refuses to go ALL the way in regards to an idea. On other occasions it’s me who is the naysayer 😀
