Epic Games recently did an AMA (Ask me anything) in the community Discord server, confirming that a Linux / SteamOS version of the Epic Games Store is coming.
On Steam you can, you request a refund (effectively just removing the game from your acc) and then your friend needs to request it as well for it to proceed.
It was gifted to me, so I’m not sure how that would work.

They refused my refund request for Rust when they pulled Linux support. This was a few years ago though so maybe they’ve changed policies since.
