Not DDOS, DOS. You can often crash an unprepared server with one request by telling it to hash more data than it has memory for. See this blog post for a well-known web framework. Let’s say I just sent it a 10GB password, it still has to process that data whether or not the hash eventually shortens to the database field length.
There should be a limit to prevent DoS attacks but really it should be like 1M characters or something.
Well, AI in general does do better than Republicans at being compassionate to all humans. At least it does until instructed to do otherwise, at which point it becomes the perfect vehicle for oppression.

Really it’s more that French politicians are properly accountable to the people, who will protest and strike frequently. That’s what makes French politics great, not the leaders but the citizens.

I created a relatively complex board/card game and just shoved the rulebook PDF into an LLM, so it’d be easy to answer people’s questions with exact references to cards and rulebook pages. So far it’s successfully corrected ME twice on specific rulings. It’s actually quite useful in this regard.
Presumably a document query system, one of the actually useful reasons to use an LLM.
Having it trawl through thousands of pages of NASA and government files to answer regulatory questions is probably legitimately helpful, even if all it does is point you towards the right pages for a human to review.
