Heard someone say that’s what code looks like for people who don’t code

Does it have a name yet?

About a month ago I got a new job with a bunch of very smart people. This week I was making some tests about how good some architecture designs where and some tools we could use to ease our work.
Today I sent a text detailing everything about the tools, which was best and how we could structure everything to use it to its fullest potential and how we could make some grear documentation with it.
2 (out of the 3) people I admire a lot where impressed by it and left comments and heart emojis. And my boss told his boss I’m really good and “A damn lucky find” :D

~/code for code
~/dots for git-backed nix configs
~/.rt for projects compiled locally (“runtime”)
~/Screencast for recordings of my screen
I also create a ~/.shrc.bash symlink that points to ~/dots/bash/bashrc that reats ~/dots/bash/*.bash and sources the files
~/.shenv.bash where I keep environment (computer) specific settings
Searched for it and found a Snow white and the seven dwarves porn. Quite regretful
I’m autistic too :D
If you show him the game Kerbal Space Program I’m sure he’ll love it! And always incentive breaking shit, it’s how humans learn ❤️
Rust Software engineer.
At a very young age, maybe 12yo, a friend of my mom’s knew I liked computers, maths, and english, so he sent a youtube course to me on python. And I just couldn’t stop watching it. Since then I’ve learnt a few more languages, but Rust stuck in my mind and I simply loved every part of it. Recently I received an offer to work with Rust on a financial company and I’ve never been so excited about a job :3

Doesn’t the new controller have internal batteries?
Oh my got it’s right!

Oh I love to ask that as a conversation starter. One time someone got me so hooked into crabfication I presented a whole seminar about it at uni.

Them he’s betting.yhst the economy will crash, basically, and we’re okay with that shit.
Why should someone not be able to short some stock? The AI bubble will burst anyway.
Also, he doesn’t have one billion dollars, he manages an investment fund that people collectively put a billion dollars (or more) there.

I really recommend this documentary: The Act of Killing

Yes, very much so. Everyone here talked at length about this already, but I remembered the book Flowers for Algernon, which, among several other more significant things in the book, talks about this.
I really recomend you read the book before this spoiler, since it kinda kills the moment.
At the very end of the book the main character knows only that they bring flowers to a grave everyday, but don’t remember who’s burried. And it’s one of the few moments media made me cry. because memory issues hit me really hard.

I’m from Brazil and I’m very happy to have almost fluent english and crappy spanish.
It’s also quite useful. Not only is english spoke everywhere online, but there where cases where my spanish was useful for my job.
The reason the survey shows that many canadian people is probably much simpler. The survey was hosted on lemmy.ca
OP didn’t knew a lemmy server was federated with other lemmy servers. They thought lemmy was centralized and canadian

Where is this from?
That’s precisely why they ran
I’ve developed it in rust!
I made it because I needed an interpreted language in rust and didn’t want to use lua, and because I just like doing it :)
I’d done some languages before, but just some very simple assembly-like stuff
This one has functions, control flow, closures, scoped variables and such. Also, it’s stack based! Which is interesting for me and hell for the users (also me, lmao)
Sadly I won’t post it here because it has my full legal name attached :(
They probably wouldn’t seed it, but I really don’t want to risk it
A few months ago I started working on an interpreted programming language. It’s not particularly polished, but it helped me get a new job!
A higher up really likes AI for simple proofs of concept, but at times they get so big it’s unusable. With the people on my team, however, bad code is synonymous to AI usage or stupidity (same thing)
