VIENNA (AP) — Austrian prosecutors said Friday they have indicted a former intelligence officer on charges that include supporting a Russian intelligence service in the country’s biggest spying scandal in decades.

A second suspect, a police officer whose name prosecutors didn’t release, was charged with abetting some of Ott’s actions by passing on personal information without official authorization. Both suspects could face prison sentences of between six months and five years if convicted, prosecutors said.

If he is found guilty of those crimes, then 5 years are not enough. Wow.

I tried switching to a different distro but that didn’t work at all, so I’m afraid I’ll have to push through. I don’t mind, there is a reason I chose Qubes initially.

Believe me, I wish I could tell you what I’ve done :') I wanted to get Whonix, but I think the website eventually led me to QubesOS? All I can say is that at startup it shows the Qubes symbol, so it’s likely I got that.

When I try to start sys-net it can’t start and says that the Qube sys-net has shut down. I’ll provide the error message in a moment if I can’t get it up with your other suggestion. Thanks!

Cannot connect to qrexec agent for 120 seconds.

When I want to check the logs, some other qubes cannot start. Bizarre. I even tried creating a qube without the offending qubes (sys-net etc.) yet it still fails.

It wouldn’t surprise me though if we shared one view or another, I’m aware that corporations and rich people either find a way out of paying fines or that those fines are a set amount instead of a percentage of their wealth, which will always be devastating to poor folks and barely a scratch to the financially unchallenged.
