I will shit in the police station and blame it on my dementia.

Sure, that would indeed be a shame. But nobody is dependent on animal products unless there’s a medical reason.

If it’s dead, it’s dead. Whether you eat it or not, it won’t change anything. The purchase kills the animal, not the consumption.
It only makes an ecological difference if you convert the generated calories into energy.

yes, but i think it’s total bullshit aksing Proton user to buy the game and then $15 worth of DLC. I’d be pissed if I were forced to do that.
So, your solution is to completely deny access to the game for all Linux users, even those who’ve already purchased it? Total bullshit.

But a great start to get into selfhosting. What’s an IP? What is a DNS? How do I connect to via ssh? What’s the job of DHCP? Pretty basic stuff, your learning in the process.

I would personally recommend starting with a Pi-hole. It’s easy to set up and provides an immediate improvement to your whole internet experience.
Try to follow the official guide or use a Docker container.

I’d rather buy handsoap for a few cents than moisturize my hands every time.

I’m using Ludosavi to make a copy of my savefiles. It’s able to automatically detect installed games and local savefiles. I just discovered it and using it to make a copies of the savefiles on my Main machine to transfer them to my Steamdeck running Lutris. Maybe I try to configure an automation which makes a copy every time a savefiles has been updated and sync it with my Steamdeck. Just for a seamless transfer without manually copy ever folder by hand if I want to sync my savefiles.

I really don’t know why someone is that stupid… People explain why he/she should take it offline, for obvious reasons… and he/she still think it’s a good idea and continue. Some people have to learn it the hard way…
