  • TV shows and movies don’t get made for free mate. The people making and producing them need to get paid one way or another, if nobody paid for anything, nothing would get made. I got everything for free when I was a kid but as an adult if I can afford to pay for something and I like it I will pay for it as it’s not only the right thing to do but the only way to guarantee good stuff still gets made.

  • You can pay for the subscription while getting the content onto your computer through other means, this is sadly the best compromise and it also gives you long term access and ownership of things you want to hold onto, with no DRM bullshit and the creators still get paid.

P.S - whatever content you want to support, make sure to let it play on mute in the background, just so the streaming service knows it’s actually popular and worth supporting

  • I don’t mean actively reading and listening to the audio book, think of it like English subtitles for a English movie. You can ignore them for the most part, until you hear something you didn’t quiet catch or you were not paying attention and missed something, it’s much easier to scroll back a little and read the text to catch up rather than play the part again. Happens a lot for me when listening to audio books. And rewinding the book to catch up on the part I missed is annoying, it’s better to just quickly read the last few lines instead.

  • Prime Video, absolute trash tier, doesn’t even have its own unique URL, because Amazon wants you to go to their e commerce landing page first in the hopes that you’ll end up seeing something you want to buy.

The search sucks, oh you wanted to stream this show you are already paying a monthly subscription for, let me put these options to buy or rent it at the top of the search results just in case you want to pay extra to for it.

The content is also usually shite and why is my landing page filled with previews of content I have to buy extra subscriptions to view?

It’s one of the few platforms where continuing from where you left off just fucks up every now and then, of you were watching season 6, episode 4, now you click play and it starts Season 1 episode 2 for reasons.

Heck even when you navigate to the show and select the season you want to start watching, it shows you shit to buy first and then you have to make a extra click of the episodes sub section to actually be able to start playing the video.
