    “Rights of the individual”, “liberty”, “consent of the governed”, “political equality” and “equality of the law” are meangless buzzwords that should be ignored is an interesting angle.

      Most Republicans also believe in those things, though they quibble with Democrats over the details. Only fascists, monarchists, etc. don’t.

            Exactly, thank you great point. Are you starting to agree these aren’t very “liberal” actions so maybe the Republicans and Democrats aren’t so liberal after all?

              The thing is: the first priority of liberal is to maintain capitalism and private property, the “rights of the individual”, “liberty” and etc can be discarded to maintain the status quo, also, this fancy words is only for them, every other country/people can die in a genocide.

              Other way around: being in favor of genocide and kidnapping isn’t as incompatible with liberalism as you think.
