Dunno if it’s possible and how hard it would be to decode and reencode with spatial audio. Wondering if something like that would or could ever be implemented in something like handbrake.

Yeah I’d have to wonder how the conversion would work too. Maybe like having a virtual audio setup with a virtual mic in the center lol. Technically I know it’s not mappable to channels but maybe like a virtual setup like that and specifying how many channels to record the audio track to. Not sure if any audio format would support individually mapped height channels though so maybe not possible. Guess that would also cause some complications for room correction I’d imagine.
