      Companies pay tariffs and pass the costs on to consumers. Tariffs ate declared illegal. Companies get a refund, pocket the extra money they charged consumers. Rich people got richer.

      Worked the last time so they do it again.

        Different legal justification this time. They’re using a 1930 law about discrimination against US businesses. It’s clearly bullshit, but they’ve learned it doesn’t matter

      Some ways for Trump to impose tariffs were ruled illegal. Unfortunately there are still other routes he can try.

        and if he runs out of those ways which will be ruled illegal, he’ll just make up new ways like if your name is Trump, you can do it, and watch it take another year to go through the courts anyway.
