      Nope. Americans are used to having wars on the other side of an ocean. Those are wars you can be oblivious of. When drones are buzzing overhead and you see smoke rising from the strategic targets in your city, you can’t drive to work because the bridge was taken down and there’s military checkpoints everywhere asking to see your papers to prove you aren’t Canadian? I think Americans will notice that.

      True, there are idiots everywhere. Btw, if you have never done so, I highly recommend Pierre Burton’s two part book series on the War of 1812.
