A Thinkpad offers 3 years warranty on parts and you can pay for up to 3 more, that’s 6 years they warrant their motherboard won’t blow or melt any fuses and if it does you can ship the laptop and they’ll fix it
Yeah but you agree to those warranty terms at purchase. The commenter earlier was bitching about how Framework wouldn’t warranty something OUT of warranty. They bought a device with a warranty period, it died outside that warranty period, and now Framework shouldn’t be expected to fix it for free.
