There’s just too many things I’d want to learn, but I probably can’t do everything at once. And I also don’t know where to start when it comes to basically any topic.
Courses could absolutely work, but they tend to be paid, so that’s a problem.
How do you approach learning new material, especially if you only know a goal rather than a full/partial path?


Nah, you make the most progress fighting through frustrating parts.
You do need the dopamine checkpoints to stay motivated, but you really learn by banging your head against a wall for a week or a month, then you get the dopamine hit after when a skill that used to be difficult is suddenly second nature.
Yeah, I’m mostly answer the “how do you start” portion more so than the “how do you stay motivated” part, which is what you’re referring to I think
