Denmark summoned the US chargé d’affaires over state media reports that US officials with connections to President Donald Trump have been carrying out covert influence operations in the Danish autonomous territory of Greenland. Trump has repeatedly stated that he wants the US to annex the resource-rich island – even by force.
Yet Denmark seeks to allow the US a stronger military presence in Denmark and buy even more arms from them.
Looks like Denmark is preparing itself to be the full servant of the US and will likely not mount any actual resistance if the US decides to invade and annex Greenland.

Aren’t there plenty of US-hostile countries in Europe? I mean, starting with Russia and Belarus, but also maybe Turkey, Serbia, and maybe Hungry?

The US envoy should not be summoned, but banished. The USA is the same tier as Russia, China, Glorious Korea and Iran.
That doesn’t make the problem go away. Increasing the hostility only incentivizes them.

I agree with this, we dont need to like the US but we can’t afford to be their enemy. At the same time, covert influence operations are usually done by hostile states. If US doesn’t behave as a friend, we shouldn’t treat them as such.
