    Alright so do you know what’s the weirdest fact I know about Artodactyls (deers, pigs and so on)? Do you know which animals are also part of that order? Whales. Freaking whales. Whales are closer to deers (well their order at least) than to any other mammals. And this is even funnier in my language because the order is called “even-toed hoofed animals”. Hoofs which whales notoriously lack. In light of this you may not be surprised to learn that this connection is a sort of a recent discovery.
