This is fucking ridiculous. People breaking free from the cages of the privatised web, only to forge new shackles for themselves.

when people post cropped porn, they should also post which porn they cropped, so people know which porn to avoid.

I spend 15 minutes on trying to figure the title out, but no luck. If someone here recognizes the title, please share

Ah yes, people escaping the shackles of the privatized web in the name of … gooner memes.

No one’s asking to ban the content, just add a tag so people who actually work in places that might not take kindly to pornographic memes have a warning.

This is probably one of the most loosely moderated communities on Lemmy, intentionally. I have no desire to be the morality or thought police, I just know that a lot of people don’t want to be surprised with porn or gore that they weren’t intending to see, so sometimes I ask people to use the NSFW tag.

Which I think is fair, adding the tag doesn’t stop anyone from enjoying the content but gives them the ability to make the choice. It’s not like you’re banning the stuff.

Unlike the corpo web, we don’t have shadowbanning/deboosting of NSFW content, so there’s no real reason to avoid it.
