Like with phone carriers, ISPs can see the numbers (IPs) you are connecting to. If you use a VPN, you’re always connecting to the same IP, which is unusual from a regular user perspective and would tend to indicate VPN usage.

Sorry, I’ve had a lot of assholes telling people to use GrapheneOS like it’s super easy for most people to just go out and get a specific phone that is relatively low in market share (making them harder to find second hand too) like it’s as easy as running to the store for a loaf of bread and they get super aggressive when called out on it and it has, in turn, been pissing me off.
GrapheneOS is legitimately great IF you have a device that can run it, which most people don’t. A lot of it’s fans are raging assholes. Sorry for assuming you were one of them.

If you were already talking about limited storage on devices that typically can’t use SD cards, then yes, you’re a fucking idiot if you say “Just use an SD card to increase your storage! It’s EASY!” Which is what you’re doing when people are talking about Android issues and you say the same fucking thing about GrapheneOS.
TL;DR: There’s a moron here, but it isn’t me.

That’s not what scrolling means in this context. If you are intentionally seeking out specific information, you may need to scroll, but you aren’t “scrolling”.

It’s not an easy install if it literally can’t be fucking installed on most devices.

… what exactly do you think the phase “impossibly difficult” means? Because “impossible” is a level of difficulty ie. THEY ARE NOT DIFFERENT THINGS

Then don’t recommend it for people that can’t use it, JFC.

My point is that if it requires a specific device that most people don’t have to install, then it is not easy to install for most people, because it literally cannot be.

Cool, I have a Samsung S23fe, please feel free to install it for me. I’ll wait.
Admittedly, being facetious there, but my point is that if it requires a specific device that most people don’t have to install, then it is not easy to install for most people, because it literally cannot be.

It’s so easy to install! You just need to be in the 3% of smartphone owners who actually have one! EASY!

Parents ALREADY decided. They decided they didn’t give enough of a shit to use the parental controls already available to them. No legitimate reason to push this shit on everyone else.

Stop moving the goal posts. Also, no one has convincingly shown they can do that anonymously, but lots have shown they CAN’T. You can’t divorce the privacy implications because they are intrinsically linked right now and there is no evidence supporting the ability to unlink them.

When you go to purchase those things in person, you present your ID, but then it is given back. They do not keep your ID. They do not get to make a copy of it’s information for them to store and sell and track you with. It is presented at that particular moment, and then control of it is returned to you.
That is not the case with these digital ID requirements. With these digital ID requirements, they absolutely make and keep a copy. They absolutely use the information from that copy to track you and sell your data on to others. They use it to build a profile on you about your behaviours and purchases etc which will absolutely be used to tighten the noose of control. And we’ve already seen, over and over and over again that pretty much every time they claim they aren’t doing those things, they absolutely still are. Even if they weren’t, they’ve also repeatedly demonstrated a complete and utter inability to secure that data from third parties accessing it too.
It is completely different and enormously more invasive than presenting your ID in person.

The willy pete scene fucked me up for a while.

Tyranny. I mean, you could end up being the good guy, depending on what that means to you, but you start leading an army to conquer part of the world at the behest of Kyros the Overlord. I think I would classify Kyros as a sort of Lawful Evil type. He seems to want to bring peace and order to the world, but chooses to do it through conquest and harshly enforced laws.
If all your neighbors shoot themselves in the face, it’s not your fault they did that.
Right? Like, I love GoG. If I’m able to get something on GoG I typically will, even if it means paying a higher price to do so. But that’s definitely not because it’s a better platform to use. It’s because I appreciate their stance on DRM and support for keeping old games playable on new systems. I buy from them despite GoG Galaxy, not because of it.
As a woman, I think if men have to, we should have to as well. That said, I also don’t think men should have to in the first place. If you can’t generate enough popular support for your war to get people to volunteer, then your war can get fucked.
Not to worry though! They’ll happily sell you an overpriced one for all that money they aren’t paying you.
