IOP is not a right triangle. This problem just came up while trying to solve an engeneering problem.

Thx a lot for trying it out, i found two solutions myself, but it was either solving a quartic polynomial or finding the limit of a series… I wanted to see if anyone found a more elegant solution ;)

Found a few others you might want to look into : -stand up math. The videos are a bit more shallow in and of themselves, but they do touch on some quite obscure and deep math subjects. -numberphile. Great one offs, a bit less entertaining… Took me some time to get into it but there’s a huge backlog

This is a bit complicated, but basically, energy is powertime and power is intensitytension. Now if you have too much power, because you can’t affect the flow of time (sad), you either change tension or intensity. The easiest is to just lower intensity (or cut it out entirely). If you just open your circuit, your intensity falls to 0. So your power falls to 0 and everything is fine. Just like how when you stop a windmill rotating it doesn’t produce any power.
