I’m sure many will point to specifics, like bigot influencers thriving on controversy. Or, to play devil’s advocate, the forces astroturfing LGBT support that are clearly inauthentic.
But ultimately it’s all because LGBT controversy is too much of a lightning rod for the engagement algorithms to resist. That’s why it’s rising amongst children.
The EU needs to ban or restrict that kind of social media unless it wants to become a network of Nazis.
