minus-squarePencilnoob@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up5·2 hours agoThere’s not such a massive difference between where we are now and where we need to be to disconnect from fossil fuels More meals will be vegetarian Food selection will be more seasonal and local More people will work from home or take public transit or bike More people will have kitchen gardens More farmers will use permaculture techniques to reduce input fertilizer needs More humanure will be collected and used as fertilizer More solar panels will produce more power for home heat pumps to keep buildings comfortable More farmers will have electric tractors and farm batteries
