Lemmy is an opensource equivalent and has enough left-leaning people who left reddit. At the same time, have heard of right wing Lemmy instances too, even ones which mimic reddit-style too.
Were the political discussions good and matching the topic of the communities? If so, it is better than many reddit subs that force arbitrary apolitical neutrality, right?
