John Ratcliffe reportedly arrived in the Russian capital on Tuesday for meetings, in what appears to be his first visit to Russia as CIA director. #EuropeNews
Weirdly, Ratcliffe has tended to be on the Marco Rubio, Russia hawk wing of this administration and has pushed to maintain and in some ways even increase intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
Like, don’t get me wrong, he’s had some terrible takes on things like Israel, Iran, the 2020 election, going after Trump’s political enemies etc. but he’s generally shown a more traditional Republican dislike of Russia.
