Every negative emotion I have, I’m told to go to therapy.

Negative emotions are human!

Why have we, as a society, grown to fear them?

I see nothing wrong with therapy.

My problem is this generation’s incessant belief that negative emotions are bad.

Case and point: Watch the new live action Avatar series. Season I. I haven’t seen season II yet.

The only people with negative emotions are the bad guys. Everyone else is smiling constantly.

They’re stigmatizing something that’s perfectly fine to feel – as long as you’re actually feeling it.

So a single show made by presumably artists, writers, producers, voice actors, etc of all ages is your barometer for ‘this generation’? Do you really think this show is representative of the real world?

Sidebar: the expression is ‘case in point’.

        I could go on.

The newer Looney Toons received high adult content ratings for adult outbursts and themes.
