It’s sad that seeking out like minded people who share your values and hobbies is to be mocked. Men go, create a gym for other guys to enjoy a space where they can work on themselves and not to oggle women is a bad thing?
The idea women are holding these dorks back from exercising is so dumb to me. Humans spent like 80,000 years using unsegregated toilets. But now in the year of our lord 2026 we need to stock two gyms with identical, redudnant exercise equipment because what if dudes are distracted?
At least have the intellectual decency of citing a research paper before demanding a reallocation of society’s gym equipment over what is almost certainly a socialization problem by some of the most superstitious people in society.
It’s worrying that these people need a separate gym because they are unable to control their urges. Seems like they have bigger problems they should be working on tbh.
So what do they do once they are outside of the “safe” gym? If you need a separate workout space because women are around you in gym clothes then you’re going to struggle a lot in the rest of your life. Do they need separate beaches, swimming pools, have to stay at home during the summer months?
I’d suggest counselling with a professional would be better use of their time.
For some religious people, lust is a hard sin to fight. A gym can be a tough place to ignore it. It’s not hard to understand some people like some time in a place where people understand their struggles and can blow off steam without feeling judged.
So what do they do about summertime, beaches, or swimming pools? How does this lust manifest itself? They have to go over and talk to the women in the gym and say inappropriate things?
I get these men have issues with their ability to control themselves, I’m suggesting that a private gym isn’t the solution given how many other times in their life they will be “tested”. And why is this specific to religious people? What’s religion doing to them that getting them this sexually frustrated they can’t share a gym?
Hell, it doesn’t even need to be able “resisting urges”. I’d be more behind a guys-only gym where I’m less likely to end up in some random chick’s social media session.
Yes, guys do the social media crap too but at least in my experience they tend towards places that don’t involve broadcasting everyone else (except maybe the dudes with the creep glasses, fuck them). I’m tired of having to dodge some glam-girl who has decided to make the beach, park, gym or whatever her personal studio and including me or my kids as unwilling participants in their narcissism.

They are working on it. They literally have a way of working on it. Great empathy you have.

For a lot of atheists too, ayyyyyyyyyy (eggplant emoji eggplant emoji eggplant emoji)
That line of thinking is what leads to burquas being mandatory in some countries.
Control yourself, not other people.
And if you can’t, then get proper help (not a preacher), don’t just mask the problem.

You’re missing two things:
God willing, I’ll get both.
