I’ve been thinking of how to go about lobbying institutions to join the fediverse. I think the next step could be to look at the domain of accounts with large followings and approach institutions that share those domains. When they see large followings for their subject matter, they would be more likely to join.
Keep the corpos OUT! They can peddle that shit on the world’s they’ve created for themselves.
Public institutions. Not corpos. For example, our nation meteorological service, and our public transport (especially the trains).
Yeah. Reddit went to hell when the corpos got involved.
