Which mods/admins were being Power Tripping Bastards?

He has abused the modlog to claim ‘harassment’, which I have never engaged in. I have not even interacted with Rimu in any way for days prior to getting kicked from the PieFed developer Matrix channels.

He has decided to mass ban 20 users because they have spoken out against his erratic and hostile behaviour as of late.

      I try to separate the program from the programmer, PieFed is still good even if piefed.social is not

      Lemmy is still good even if lemmy.ml is not

        I would, at this point, trust more on a fork of piefed than upstream, given all the drama with hardcoded filters and Rimu being unable to act as a federated project maintainer.

        Chill people don’t program social media software from scratch, is my guess. Chill people grill in their backyards instead.

        Lemmy devs are definetely better because they dont bake their opinions into codebase unlike piefed.

        Like what is the point of the fediverse if single person has a grip on significant part of the users and exerts their power like spez.

        They are devs, which is different from mods. No need for the same person to do both roles. I’d even say that admins and mods should be separate.

            Bad joke aside, from what I’ve seen it’s more about how they disagree more than the fact of. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a fundamental personality issue going on there, and he can be difficult. I just haven’t seen much in the way of arbitrary bans just for holding different beliefs. There is a lower threshold for, shall we say, aggressive disagreements though.

            Mind you, I don’t haunt the mod logs and track down every occurrence. Just taking a general sense of things over the years.
