I actually experience the opposite.
Theaters have great movies, indie films, and showing old movies again. Everyone has been super respectful, and there’s been a few renovated theaters around me. And tickets (at the one I go to) i think are 8 or 10 dollars if you pay cash. The fancy theater is like 18 but I dont go there. Even the renovated original theater is only 10 dollars and has recliners!
And I dont even live in a city. More of a town.

Games used to be finished before they were released…bugs me.
Also physical media is hugely important to keep corporations from slurping up everything and charging subscriptions.

Thats probably just how normal people are though. I feel like the day is wasted if thats all I do (unless im just relaxing from work, thats a little different. But at some point I cant relax any more)

I have crackling issues sometimes too in games. It comes and goes.
On mint, 15 year old cpu and a rx 6700 card.
Like others said, make sure its not psu or mobo. Check your psu fan, for starters. They die often and the pc will run but act very weird and eventually shut down abruptly.
Im actually using 1 pc with a dead psu fan and I throttle the graphics card so it doesn’t crash, it works.
Change to pipewire if you didnt…
Destroy smartphones and limit internet access to universities and youd get back to the 1980s pretty quick.
Also downgrade the ram in your pc (which you likely wouldnt own if you weren’t a nerd) to 512kb.
