Comments like this are exactly why I love Lemmy.

Not really in the same universe technically, but sci-fi movies made by James Cameron and Ridley Scott tend to use the same aesthetic/tech as they didn’t in the Alien franchise so I have personally decided it’s all the same universe. If it had a Power Loader Mech or an Android, it counts.
Alien, Aliens, Avatar, Raised by Wolves, Blade Runner, whatever lol
Weyland Yuyani exists in Predator too, so obviously those are also in the same universe.

I don’t see anything. I can’t even tell what I’m looking at.

I don’t know if we have enough information. I agree with you that BNPL purchases are typically bad for the consumer, but I don’t necessarily think any to call people greedy in a difficult economy. Sometimes, people end up in shitty situations, trying to keep their life together, even when they can’t afford to.
Was the volume items purchased greater than before or are prices just completely out of control? The article doesn’t indicate that it accounts for inflation. Inflation was about 3% and BNLPL was up 4%.
What about the types of items that were purchased? It doesn’t actually say what types of items were used to BNPL transactions so we don’t know if it was household needs or unnecessary consumption.
I was racking my brain to come up with the best picture, but I saw this and knew this was the right answer.
We can all go home. We’re done here.

For those who just read the headline, his isn’t walking all at once.
He walks as much as he can that year, then either stays in that area for a while or goes to another country.
Each time he restarts from the point he left off at.
He also skipped a few years entirely, after the 2008 financial crisis and during the Covid pandemic.
I suppose if Russia had let him be in the country for more than 3 months at a time, he might have been able to do it all at once.

1 Fire all the people in the Office of Civil Rights.
2 Deploy a bunch of ICE assholes to violate civil rights.
3 Receive record number of complaints
4 Rehire fired people.
5 Clear caseload.
6 Repeat step 1
7 ???
8 Profit.

i always think that when i see it too. I hate that the logos are so similar
I use a Fedora variant and that’s about how high my socks are right now. Seems accurate.

Yeah! I saw reporting on this months ago.
What I appreciated about this article was the detail about how they tried to hide it.
Also I love GN. Thanks for sharing!
That’s interesting. I’ll need to look it up.
I never really watched LTT even before the controversy. The story about the woman who moved to Canada to work there then got fucked over kinda turned me off so I started avoiding them. Something about it just felt icky but maybe I’m wrong about that.
I tried watching MKBHD but something about him feels off too.
Maybe I’m the problem.

It’s the confusion between and LLM and AI.
LLMs are just algorithms that understand language. They don’t really think for themselves. They just search the database of stolen ideas and try to apply it.
But we all use those words interchangeably they basically mean the same thing.

Did we just become best friends?

Frenchman Joseph-Ignace Guillotin solved this problem in the 18th century.

I love Ed. He is the personification of my emotions.

Don’t say AI found it, just an algorithm caught it.
Could have been as simple as a spreadsheet highlighting cells with a ratio that was below a threshold.
Article didn’t say what software was used.
Edit: I meant “didn’t say”. Autocorrect has been really going after me lately.

The article said it was an algorithm that detected it, not AI.
Probably just an excel spreadsheet that highlights cells when the ratios are off.
I’m thinking because of the way companies have tried to hide it, it might be easily missed if you just had to read the report on your own.

Do they need Kushner for that? They done a pretty good job funneling money to Him over the last 8 years.

If you pay people enough, you don’t have to write memos like this.
