Yes but being able to do that is a design goal of the fediverse

Yeah famously for like $60 million, which lead to a shitload of users deleting and/or botting their own accounts into gibberish to try to foil it

Thing is, it wasn’t labeled as HER house; I don’t even think the photographer knew. They just took a picture of a large house on a beachside cliff.
Once she began making a big deal out of it though, every newspaper and website had it published. She made it worse by making it a thing. It was the original celebrity self-own of the internet era.

When food is going to go off, or when an object has developed mildew/black mold, I can tell way before anyone else by smell.

Aren’t there already coffee beans that wild cats shit out whole and they sell for a premium and they’re like, incredible?

If you want to run a mirror, rsync over ssh is one of the simplest ways.
It’s not always about hiding only payloads.
Although if you are wireguarding to your home IP you’re still not really hiding the destination.

Sci Fi keeps trying to teach us lessons, and instead we keep using it as an instruction manual.

How not to poop for 5 days was the first fediverse legend I got to personally witness, good times

I’ll fucking bake your narwhal in a microwave at midnight, son

I actually like the hexbears for the most part
It’s the snowflake libertarians who get all bent out of shape when they get called out by a plurality of leftists after chirping about their supposed freedom and they start crying on the timeline about how illegal that should be that gets me

Gray lot requires a newer version of mongo. Mongo now requires a processor with the AVX instruction set; and my aging homelab is one gen before Sandy Bridge.
So basically no graylog for me because I ain’t got money to run that shit anymore let alone upgrade it

Your house will be underwater, but damn the gaming will be good

“The people who advocate for AI” are literally running around claiming that AI is Jesus and it is sacrilege to stand against it.
And by literally, I mean Peter Thiel is giving talks actually claiming this. This is not an exaggeration, this is not hyperbole.
They are trying to recruit techno-cultists.
Allowing external access to your services means that any misconfiguration or bugs can be exploited to gain control of your machine(s).
Once that happens they can be fucked with, your data stolen, your resources co-opted for someone else’s use, etc. and often times it can be made to look as though whatever bad shit it’s doing is your doing.
So, understand your security posture. You can’t be too careful. Taking over weak or exposed machines is a global industry now.
