Cami Clark—who started what she called a ‘revolutionary porn company’ where she sought investment from Jeffrey Epstein—keeps a low profile but is a key adviser to the AI chief. Its coming IPO could top trillions.

I don’t really see what’s the news here. So she approached Epstein for investment. How many else did that? She’s married to X which is relevant because she… ? Am I missing it?
Is this some sort of flak between billionaire class? WSJ is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.
This email is from 2012, Epstein was registered as a sex offender since 2008. She approached him for a Luxury Porn company.

Yeah I read the article. So the point is that Anthropic AI’s CEO’s wife once sought financing from Epstein after he got the most miniscule slap on the wrist, and therefor… ? What does that tell us? They have no morals when it comes to money? How is this a surprise or news? There must be thousands of such contacts with people seeking investment or a connection or this or that. Why single this person out?
It is important because AI is an Oligopoly, you can’t locally host a model like Claude. They also claim they are ethical and avoid harm. His wife is an Advisor for Anthropic.
https://www.anthropic.com/constitution
Lots of people associated with Epstein appeared in News articles. Simply put no one even knew she was Dario Amodei’s wife that is why she is only appearing now in the news.
Thanks, fair enough. If you want to hear my (shitty) take:
With the Chinese releasing “frontier models” like the 2.8 trillion parameter Kimi K3 I do not believe a true monopoly is possible, unless IP law is extended to prevent open weight models to protect them from competition and make running local LLMs without paying a license fee illegal. Which does seem likely in the western world, but not in the rest.
I am not sure how much exactly the proclaimed intent or ideology matters vs gaining power or money. Basically what they write on their banners. But I do think it can matter quite a bit e.g. “socialism with Chinese characteristics” has done much good for the people, or even Iran’s theocracy which I don’t like but which has principles, even though they are obviously far from perfect. Generally I prefer people who believe in something, really anything, to neoliberals who believe in nothing.
So I don’t expect Anthropic to be paragons of humanism and communism either. And this connection is relatively mild. Hustlers gonna hustle. Very few capitalists would flinch at taking investments from questionable sources. So I would still support Anthropic with their “constitution” as the potentially better alternative to OpenAI or SpaceX. At least until they go public and forget to “not be evil”.
As soon as they go public it will be lets maximise shareholder value. It is horrifying how much power these private companies have these days and how evil they have become. Morals basically don’t exist with them and their are no consequences. This is why I don’t like AI though it does improve programming by leaps that even people who don’t know how to code can make a fully working application. If the trend continues and people depend on AI for programming these companies will have big influence over the world, look at what happened with the international court, they depended too much on US technology.
There needs to be regulations on AI and people still need to learn programming even if you depend on AI for most task. We can’t give these companies our ability to program too.
Yeah I totally agree with you. From what I’ve seen only China has enacted sensible and quick regulations. Found this website regulations.ai.
I believe / hope that AI pushes the abilities humans need upwards. Like there is AI that can do character animation, but you still need a motion choreographer who interprets the script and tweaks the AI and has the words and thinking and creativity for character animation. Same for programming, you still need to design the shape of the program and unit tests and understand the architecture.
But with every progress a larger percentage of people will be replaced and their labor not valuable any more. It’s either socialism and planned economy either with or without free market or bust.
One hope I have is that we’ll also be able to use AI and advanced robotics for “subsistence living”. There are apparently humanoid robots for $6000 in China now. And once smartphones and AI are good enough you could use one as a “control module”. We might also build robots much easier out of wood and servos in the future, because other machine learning models allow control of very “imprecise” robots. And then if we’re not prevented by IP law “we” as individual or groups of people could also directly benefit from the free labor. And the more advanced these AI models become, the more we could liberating ourselves from wage slavery.
They do not have a monopoly
My mistake I meant Oligopoly.
They dont have that either. There is plenty of competition in the space with no moats at the.moment.
Claude was on the flight logs too?
/s
Now she advises company that rapes source code.
“Even” Claude? If the boss’s wife wants to keep a low profile then the company’s models are probably the most likely to help with that.
Truly the Epstein class.

…while not a part of the so-claimed “Magnificent 7”, its interesting that none of the US AI red-teams have flagged ‘Private ps*cho corps controlling the most powerful weapon ever’ !! …as a security risk for Humanity !?
I mean, ASI in the hands of the worst and most evil corporations, ‘Epstein’ people, and their fanatical Capitalist backers seeking more profits and more power from other people and our shared habitat…
What could possibly go wrong…
When everything crashes around you and on top of you, remember to say loud and proud: “Thank you, Capitalist believer !” …
Ffs… I love Claude but now I’m really thinking I should just give my money to DeepSeek or Kimi. This entire autocratic corpocracy is fucked from the top to the bottom.
“I love Claude” is… something. Are you ok buddy?
lol well, that’s a helluva leap. I love it like I love my car. It’s helpful. Those two neurons projecting much?
Nice, did you ask claude to write all that?
Their comments read like AI driven brainrot
Ah yes, “helluva” and “two neurons” are definitely phrases LLM’s use. Alternative theory - you idiots aren’t used to communicating with someone with language skills developed beyond second grade lol
I might be mistaken, but to me it seems like you assumed the first guy’s comment to imply that you loved a person called Claude (“projecting much”), while in reality he meant that “it’s something” to love Claude because it’s an LLM harness and LLMs are generally only good at creating crap, so what’s there to love?
Read the e-mail, then consider that Epstein moved throughout that “level” of society, from Stephen Hawking, Woody Allen, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates through Marvin Minsky, Prince Andrew, Ariane de Rothschild, Brock Pierce…
An introduction is hardly deep involvement
Defending any involvement is certainly a choice…
I’m really thinking I should just give my money to DeepSeek or Kimi
Sure, fund Chinese gulags for Uigurs then. 100% improvement in morality…
I don’t condone internment by any means, but if you think the US or its corporate overlords are better you’re part of the Faux News human centipede.
if you think the US or its corporate overlords are better
Trump is scum but even a deeply flawed democracy is better than genocidal Chinese dictatorship.
You’re paying for AI by your own admission. You’re part of the problem.
Paying for AI is not a problem, and while interment is bad period, it’s not like the abrahamic religions are “religions of peace”. We’re actively interning Mexicans because 50% of the population are racist dumb asses. Again, your comparison shows your uneducated propagandized bias.
Mistaking AI as bad and not the giant fucking corporations trying to fuck everyone over is the essence of stupid.
