As somebody else said, the US (and other societies with similar levels of customer entitlement) would be improved by universal national service in retail/hospitality
I disagree, shitty people are always shitty. They would be emboldened with doing the service because now they “know how to do your job” and “they’ve done their time”.

What other societies have similar levels of customer entitlement? I think this is mostly prominent in areas with great inequality.
I have nothing to back this up with except for my own experiences though

Yeah, i think this is right. I know a few people i worked with in customer service who were wankers before, during and after.
