I created this post a few weeks ago https://feddit.uk/post/35784961

Now I check back, it’s saying “failed to load media” for me. I didn’t delete the picture myself. Where’s it gone and why?

For context: it was a picture of a tree where someone had sprayed the word “TITS” on it. Is that too racy for Lemmy?

When I click the link in Jerboa, the entire post won’t load; just says “couldnt_find_post”

On Voyager it loads the post but says “failed to load media”

Maybe message a mod of that community to see if they removed or reduced visibility of your post?

      Aha… I’m a voyager user. So it’s the app/instance that’s the problem, presumably

I’m sorry if this upsets you as much as it did me, but I think everyone should know someone has posted a picture of the word TITS painted on a tree in Sussex

If you have chidren please reconsider feddit.uk as a potential travel destination until this post has been removed and incinerated.

On most Lemmy instances, pictures get deleted after a few weeks to save storage space. If you want your picture to last, you need to find an image hoster yourself that you trust to keep the image online, and then share the URL to that.
