Ahhhh yes, thank you! I should have googled it but i was swimming in nostalgia, lol 😅

I’m so jelly you had an Amiga!! I only recently realized it was a Commodore! We loved Commodore computing back in the day. The blue screen where you’d type the commands was strangely serene (or maybe that’s just my rose-colored glasses, lol)

I still remember being soooooo fucking excited to see the next big step from a 486. I think we had a 486SX back when Pentium was current. I vaguely recall the Pentium chip being almost more like a cartridge in it’s form-factor but i could be way off. Old school computing days were the best 💖
They don’t want competition, and they especially don’t want people that are immune to bullshit.

“Illusion, Michael. A trick is something a whore does for money…”

His voice pairs surprisingly well with the look
I love that i see at least one twin peaks meme a day here lately. I’ve found my people ♥️🖤🤍

It’s getting increasingly predictable because we’ve seen cases exactly like this play out over and over. You know exactly what these fuckers are up to the moment they start pointing fingers

That’s a good point. Those 20% of data centers getting cancelled were probably planned by the smaller companies i suppose…

While I’m sure the end result will be worse for us in a lot of other ways, one thing i found oddly positive is how his stupid decisions are going to fuck things up:
Most absurdly, given the priorities of Trump’s AI Action Plan, that tariff approach would cost the US about $90 billion annually in GDP losses and cause about 20 percent of data center projects planned through 2030 to be delayed or canceled

Circular like this

The packaging printer was probably running their annual “print it out of order intentionally sale” where customers can receive up to 15% off new packaging-print packages, given the text is randomly switched around at the printers discretion.
Sounds like a good opportunity to get the gang back together 🙂

The AI slop used to generate the ad poster contained a nice suggestion for an alternative name for this crap:
Damn, those horns are on fire! I don’t know why modern music evolved away from live horns, they are so powerful and expressive 📯

This is something i think about a lot, though I’ve had a hard time putting it to words exactly.
We live in a largely fake world. Objects and pictures representing things have increasingly replaced the genuine articles. We are expected to be continually wow’d by images on our screens as though they’re as good or engaging as reality. So many stores like Homegoods carry all kinds of items that serve strictly aesthetic value. So much of advertising is convincing the target that the item will improve their lives in extraordinary ways when the reality so often proves itself lesser-than-expected. We even have amounts of money in circulation that can’t feasibly exist. The US national debt is an absolutely staggering number – it’s an irrational amount of money/value. Does that much value actually exist in the world? There are so many things that exist in theoretical space but make impact in reality–it feels fake. Don’t even get me started on AI/deepfakes etc.
I still don’t know if I’ve gotten my thinking straight on this yet, it’s just this nagging thought in the back of my mind i can’t seem to shake.
That is a fun fact!! I’m gonna see what they’re running these days.
