I don’t ever see people bring up the fact that Fahrenheit contains more whole numbers.
20c -> 68f
21c -> 69.8f
22c -> 71.6f
23c -> 73.4f
A lot of people notice the different between 68, 69, 70, 71, and 72 Fahrenheit. But Celsius has massive gaps in the measurements of these temperatures. Which is ironically very important to the average American, due to the use of thermostats and air-conditioning.
Of course a computerized system will use the decimals to get the correct temperature.
But conversationally, you’d have to include the decimals, which is too complicated for casual chit chat.
Brother I can’t tell the difference between 22 and 24c, how the hell will I the difference between 69 and 70?
I find this comment funny as fuck because I regularly get too cold at 69 and put the thermostat at 70 to be comfortable.

Mechanical engineer from a power plant here. Rankine is the best, can confirm. Room temp is like 530 degrees. Now that makes sense.

Not really. Easy conversion is the whole point. One litre of water weighs one kilogram (depending on temperature) and fits into a 10x10x10 cm cube.
Compare that with: one quart of water weighs 2.086 pounds and fits into a 3.86 × 3.86 × 3.86 inch cube.
The math and prefix conversion is intuitive (because most of the world uses base-10 these days). There is nothing particularly intuitive or handy for either of them with respect to temperature - you just learn what it means and work with it. I’ve been using metric since I was 6, so like a good Canadian weather is metric and baking is Fahrenheit. When I talk about combustion points, melting points of metals, boiling point of water, back to metric. See? Intuitive.
