what’re you buying?
I think I’m gonna pick up Little Kitty Big City and I don’t care who judges me for it!
Stray is the best cat game, but big city is great too
Oh yeah, played the crap out of stray too! Just can’t go wrong with a decent cat game.
It’s SUCH a good game! I loved it
That’s fantastic to hear! ❤️
Scored me:
- Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition
- Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
- Talos Principle 1 & 2 + Reawakened Bundle
Not a bad haul
Sales are looking really mid again. I skipped the Winter and Spring sales entirely.
I picked up God Of War: Ragnarok and Spider-Man 2 because the current sales are the lowest I’ve seen them. More than I usually pay for games but I know I’ll enjoy them.
Besides that I picked up a few cheap DLCs for games I play or will play in the near future.
Nothing is really jumping out to me.
I may do another run of cyberpunk during rainy season since it’s about all my PC can do and upgrading is basically impossible right now.
I just finished my ~yearly run of Skyrim (with mods other than just skyui for the first time this time).
I used to play a lot of 7 Days, but they lost me when they started adding triggers in POIs that automatically alerted zombies, opened doors, etc. and TFP’s general bullshit after that.
The only other two games I’ve played this year are Last Caretaker (it was alright but had too many performance issues and bugs at the time), and Peglin which I’m also kinda over.
Cyberpunk is one of the moste demanding games out there btw.
Yeah, I can’t play it with very high settings. My PC is probably about 6-8 years old and has no upgrades (and wasn’t bleeding edge when I built it, but not horrible either)
My cart currently (although I’m not sure I’ll pull the trigger on all of them):
- The Drifter - 20% off (The game I’m most looking forward to playing at the moment. Was hoping for a bigger sale but it never seems to go below 20% so might just pull the trigger).
- Roadwarden - 75% off (Dirt cheap and I’ve heard good things about the writing.)
- Road 96 - 80% off (One dollar off the all-time low and I’ve heard great things. Procedurally generated road trip sounds interesting.)
- The Banner Saga 2 - 85% off (Played the first one and loved the setting, story and writing. Should probably play the sequel at some point).
- The Sinking City Remastered - 85% off (Found out about this because of the upcoming sequel. Haven’t played a detective game in a while and this looks decent.)
- Wanted: Dead - 80% off (Made by ex-Team Ninja people who worked on the first two 3D Ninja Gaidens. I’ve heard some mixed things but I’m morbidly curious. I don’t think this is a great game, but it could be fun for a single playthrough for the novelty of it. It is pretty unhinged and might be charming for it).
Also looking at Trepang2, Hell Is Us and ROUTINE but I’m not sure they’re my vibe at the moment.
wanted: dead is great fun and very short - finished on normal my playtime is 13 hours and i died a lot. there’s some minigames and new game+ to squeeze some extra out of it if you want
Would you say Normal was a fun challenge or would you recommend just playing on Easy? I’ve heard some not great things about the game’s balance.
it’s been a little while but apart from some spikes at bosses i’d say the difficulty curve is U shaped, as you get the hang of combat and unlock abilities from the skill trees the mid game might get boring on easy. it ramps up near the end but if you die enough times in a row the game will ask you on the continue screen if you want to drop the difficulty, so i’d say start on normal
Thanks!
I still miss the steam sale delivery girl

Yeah, same here honestly. I miss her too
You can download a Steam Deck intro video where Game Mode boots up with her walking up to deliver a package.
are you really into 13 yo girls?
Definitely Detention. My friend told me it’s a really good indie game that takes place in Tawain. I will probably also likely get the rest of the God Of War games and Spiderman 2.
I just saw that you can get the remastered collection of Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert for 4 EUR, brilliant!
It’s hard for me to justify buying anything since my job is so crap. I have the money, I just feel spiteful and angry at capitalism.
You atleast have a job :\
you hiring?
I’m only buying dlc for games I already have.
The only one I have my eye on (for now) is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and basically because it never gets discounted.
Could be fun to punch a few Nazis, even if only digitally.
And not just punching, but full-on wind up and let it rip homerun swings with a shovel to the face (which goes CLANG!! and breaks the shovel) just never got old. Highly recommend!
Wolfenstein?
Idk, Dyson Sphere Program maybe. Been playing the shit out of Satisfactory recently.
DSP is great, def worth it if you like Satisfactory.
I also love Timberborn. It hits some of the same gameplay notes but with a very different vibe.
if you use more than one computer, watch out that you can’t play the same savegame on both
The Binding of Isaac + all DLC is like $5. Definitely jumping on that.
I have the original one and I might just do this to get it to work well on the deck. The OG version is kinda janky control wise.
Ah glad you mentioned that because I had the base game on my wishlist and saw it for under $2 and just added that.
But now, looking more closely, I’m a bit confused. I see the DLC bundles, but only one of the DLCs (other than the soundtrack) has a price, though the others are a mix of Free and N/A. Going into bundle details does show a price for the N/A ones but I’m just confused about what’s going on there. Are the DLCs only available through the bundles and that’s why they don’t have their own prices unless you dig a bit?
Anyways, they are all 90% off.
Though with the way valve handles bundles, at least it isn’t really an issue, whatever is going on. It’s refreshing that they don’t try to nickel and dime you and even warn you if you have a game in a cart when a bundle with that game is cheaper (because you already have the other games and it still gives you the bundle discount without needing to buy those games again).
I grabbed Mina the Hollower. After finishing 007 First Light this evening, I feel like that will be a good game to follow up with. And will be a nice deck game when I want to play in bed
Other than that it is a back log kinda year(and playing my brother’s games through family sharing)
Finally, it’s about time
