        Because the US can’t be trusted with the defence of Europe and GB is clearly in their pocket? Is this a serious question.

        Agreements are just paper, France wisely realized a long time ago that they can’t rely on someone who isn’t french to press the big red button that ends the world as we know it, in order to protect France.

        Every country that doesn’t want to be the target of neofeudal strongmen needs domestic nukes. This is the lesson USA taught the world this century
