She was asleep, while her stream of Minecraft was still live, when officers were seen entering her house with torches and rifles.
[the author is from the UK I think, so flashlights and rifles]
“I was asleep, I did not want to get up, and these policemen came in the door,” the 81-year-old said in a follow-up video. “They locked me out. I didn’t know what was going on, but it was kinda fun. My kid and my grandkid were hugging me; I don’t get that kind of attention normally. Then I got to ride in a police car. I’ve never ridden in a police car before. Then it was all over, so I thought ‘Well, I’ve gotta go to bed’, so I took an ibuprofen and went to bed.”
The streamer, who has also streamed Fortnite, Rocket League, and Roblox, seemed upbeat about the whole situation, saying the police officers were “so nice to me, I loved them, shout out to them, they were wonderful.” She added that the only thought going through her head as she was taken outside was, “I’m walking outside with bare feet, and it’s not hurting.”
Fuck that swatter and I hope they nab them, but it sounds like she took it all in stride and is an awesome person. There is also a donation link in the article since the US healthcare system can’t be bothered to help.
And still no article is able to state the reason (even manufactured) for the operation. Or do the police just decide to raid random houses in the United States?
Yes. And sometimes they go to raid a random house, but accidentally raid a different house. And kill someone. Even randomer.
Yeah they’re kinda like an air strike you’d call in a game like Call of Duty. They’re completely indiscriminate in their tactics and eager to get a high score.
In 2021, xQc revealed that the police thought he was a meth addict when he was swatted.
Why would they come up with a SWAT team for a meth addict?
Is it known what they said is happening at Grandma’s - and with xQc?Can’t believe it’s so easy to send the cavalry to someone’s house
It’s all about the right keywords. Police HAS to respond to certain threats with full force. A potential shooter who flew under their radar and is about to start a massacre would be such a situation. A meth addict who’s about to do the same is an even more urgent situation.
Thanks for that!
The meth addict will take forever to load and polish his guns and rifles…
First the shaky hands/fingers and then losing track and just focusing on details
And as McAffee put it so eloquently “I can’t aim for shit on coke” - with meth it’s probably even worse
Do remember the Nazi army was on meth for most of WW2.
Yeah, and they failed ;-)
And my comment wasn’t meant that sincere, but more as a jokeBut I can imagine, being in a battle situation, that you would have your focus moved to reality rather quickly
But preparing stuff… You can easily get lost in some details
Anyway, a soldier being able to be awake and kinda focused for 48h straight, is obviously better than without dope
And that’s how they rushed through France.
But because their aim was so great, but because they kept up the speed (pun intended)
